Volunteering
Would you like to be a part of The Coffee Event of the year? Yes!
We have many different tasks that you can choose from. Also this year we have volunteer tasks in two different levels, one being team leader and the other basic volunteer work.
Volunteer Team Leaders
This year we are also looking for volunteer team leaders who will have a tiny bit more responsibility during the event. This means making sure everyone in your volunteer group knows what they will do during their shift, being on top of schedule, communicating with the event producers and making sure people keep their brakes.
Volunteering basics
Shifts are usually 6 hours long but this is flexible. You get something to eat, good coffee, certificate of volunteer work (if you want one) and great memories. Some tasks benefit from previous experience from coffee events but we will inform and teach you everything you need to know. We will inform you of what we require from the volunteers for each task if there is something special!

Helsinki Coffee Week satellite events and Disloyalty Card

We need volunteers to participate in various events in cafes during coffee week. Main tasks being taking pictures.
With Disloyalty Card we need help distributing cards and stickers to cafes during Disloyalty Card time 20.10.-2.11.2025. -
Roasters Challenge

Roasters Challenge is a competition where 12 roasteries roast the same green bean, these 12 roasters form also the jury for this competition. Volunteering at Roasters challenge requires knowledge on how to prepare coffee cupping.

Roast Fest
25.10.2025 @ KATTILAHALLI
For the first time we are organizing a small roastery trade show during Helsinki Coffee Week called Roast Fest 2025. This festive event has a lot to offer for a volunteer. We will need help at the info/merch desk, espresso bar pulling shots, keeping the space tidy and helping vendors.
Roast Fest is in two sessions, morning and afternoon. You can volunteer in both or just one!

Moccamaster Championship
9:30-17:30 (notice longer time)
Volunteering at this event includes helping our competitioners, setting up competition spots, working in HCW Info and jumping into different tasks that come up during the day.You don't need to know special things about coffee to volunteer with Moccamaster Championship.

30 best Cafes in Finland Gala
25.10.2025 @ KATTILAHALLI
This event is a Gala to embrace the amazing coffee culture in Finland. Tasks during this event are handing the diplomas, controlling music and steam machines and helping out the cafe staff to find seats etc.

Throughout the day we also need photographers, so if you have talent in that please let us know!

Community events like Helsinki Coffee Week would not be possible without the help of our amazing volunteers, many of which return each year to help us out to produce world class events!
